UAE Flag Day 2026: What Should Kids Wear to School?

By the D’Daniela team, Dubai · Updated 14 October 2026 · 3 min read

What is UAE Flag Day?

Every year on 3 November, people across the UAE raise the national flag at the same moment, usually at 11:00 am. Schools hold short ceremonies with the national anthem, and many children come dressed in the flag colours. It is a smaller event than National Day on 2 December, so most parents choose a simple outfit that can be worn again a month later.

One outfit, two celebrations

Flag Day and National Day use the same colours, so a single flag-colour dress or T-shirt covers both school events. For National Day on 2 December, many families go a step further — read our UAE National Day outfit guide for kids.
